I have been in education since 1983 and am presently in a management position at an Independent Preparatory School in the United Kingdom. I have taught and been in leadership positions in both the private and state sector in South Africa and the United Kingdom. I have produced and adapted hard copy lessons and PowerPoint lessons for a number of years and will be updating the "Maths Worksheets Galore" shop on a regular basis.

This quiz is the second in a series, the first being published in 2015. The first one has also been included.
This quiz, as well as the previous one will keep your class entertained at the end of term.
Bonus: A question sheet for all participants and the answers to all the questions are included in an answer booklet (Word / PDF)
The quiz may be utilised as a team or individual quiz.
There are 6 categories with 7 questions in each to test your knowledge on matters relating to local and international personalities in the movie industry, television, stage and sporting arena. Added to this your knowledge of books, geography and history may stand you in good stead for a good score! There are also some soundtracks and artists to identify and a section, that if you score well, your Gramps and Nan will be most proud.
Each question will keep the teams or individuals busy for some time and the quiz master/teacher can decide upon how long this should last. Each question has subsections attached and it is easy to use. As soon as the time is up for a particular section, hit the back button and the next topic and number can be chosen.
All in all a fun quiz tried and tested in my Year 6 - 8 classes. Definitely suitable for older groups as well. My classes had an hour of fun and even then we had not completed the quiz.
You can even copy this quiz onto your pupil’s memory sticks so that they may take them home and test the family during the festive season.
At the conclusion of the quiz there is the opportunity to sing along to the number 1 Christmas hit as voted by many over a good few years - Merry Christmas by Slade with Noddy Holder belting out those now famous opening lines … ask your teacher to demonstrate!
Have fun - enjoy!
